We're happy to be part of the new 1930s Farmer's Wife Quilt Along, along with a band of bloggers led by Angie at Gnome Angel and Fat Quarter Shop! Beginning on Sept. 28, 2015, we'll be releasing 2 FREE template conversion charts per week that you can download from Marti's blog. Follow Marti's blog so you won't miss a PDF and to read some great cutting and sewing tips as we go along. Angie and other bloggers will be blogging about making their blocks, Fat Quarter Shop will be selling fabric kits and you can buy our tools in our online store or at FQS.
This is an entirely new group of six-inch quilt blocks, and, as with our previous template conversion charts, you will need a copy of The Farmer's Wife 1930s Sampler Quilt by Laurie Aaron Hird. And if you got our charts for the original Farmer's Wife blocks, you already have the tools to get started with this new group of blocks! (If you didn't get the charts for the first book, they are still available. Use the "join our email..." button in the right column to sign up. A new round of the original PDF mailings will also begin in September.)
All the details are on Gnome Angel's blog -- head on over there to meet Angie and get the scoop!! And join the fun at Angie's 1930s Farmer's Wife Quilt Along Facebok group.
Here are a few video tips that we made especially for the Farmer's Wife sew-along -- they're actually good tips for any project! Be sure to wait for one video to stop before starting the next one or you will hear Marti saying different things at the same time.
