Use Templates to Make Quilts in Love of Quilting
This is the conversion information for the patchwork quilts in this month's issue that have patterns the same size as one of our templates. All of our templates are identified by number or letter. Numbers in the diagrams refer to a specific template. Follow the instructions in the magazine, substituting the following information where it applies.

Cut 6 1/2" strips. Measure with either ruler. After sewing, measure 4 1/2" with Set B, Template #8.

This is based on making 1 1/4" squares and half-square triangle pairs with an equal frame. I would use Set A Templates #5 and #6 to make 1 1/2" squares and triangles. Then reduce the frame to a scant 1/2" all around. The block should be just right to finish at 11 1/4".

Our
3" x 18" ruler will come in handy for measuring some of the smaller
pieces.
