This is the conversion information for the patchwork quilts in this month's issue that have patterns the same size as one of our templates. All of our templates are identified by number or letter. Numbers in the diagrams refer to a specific template. Follow the instructions in the magazine, substituting the following information where it applies.
| Scraps of Love | Page 12 | Set B; optional Set D |

I would making the center squares using templates and our square-in-a-square construction technique.

The Double Nine Patch on point makes a great chain
to frame the applique flowers. Strip techniques are perfect for
Nine Patch blocks, however, piece #1 in Set A is the exact size
the pieced block should be, so it is great for perfecting the finished
size. You can also use piece #1 to cut the alternate plain squares
for the Double Nine Patch blocks.
Use Template #2 to cut setting triangles with grainline or use our Small Diagonal Set Triangle Ruler to cut the green
setting triangles and corner triangles. Or try our "2+2"
technique. Cut the strips on the lengthwise grain for the firmest
edge.
| Lauren's Pinwheels | Page 29 |
Use #9 for Pinwheel triangles. Place fabrics that are going to be seewn together right sides together for cutting. Triangles are already aligned for sewing. Use #12 to measure 2 1/2" strips and cut 2 1/2" squares.

B and Diagonal Set Triangle
Ruler |
A = #13
B = Cut a 6 1/2" wide strip and use the Diagonal Set Triangle
Ruler to cut the triangle and nip the corners. Just the acrylic,
pay no attention to the line (which is actually a corner triangle
for an 8 1/2" square).
C strips = Use #12 to measure and cut strips for 2 1/2" by
6 1/2" rectangles
D = #9
Flying Geese Borders:
E = #11
F = #13
Use Diagonal Set Triangle Ruler to cut Setting and Corner triangles.
| Slice of Lemon | Page 35 | Set A; optional Set C |
This is an ideal template project. It has so many different shapes, cut from so many different fabrics - just pile them up and cut!
A = #1
B = #4 with grainline: ![]()
C = #2
D = #6
E = #19, Set C or cut a strip as wide as #5 and as long as #1
F = #5
| John's Tie Quilt | Page 38 | Set A |
The triangle used for cutting the ties is piece #2. Think how nice the clear acrylic is for positioning on ties.
