This is the conversion information for the patchwork quilts in this month's issue that have patterns the same size as one of our templates. All of our templates are identified by number or letter. Numbers in the diagrams refer to a specific template. Follow the instructions in the magazine, substituting the following information where it applies.

The 9" finished blocks would be made using 9 1/2" cut squares and our Set A Template #2. In fact, the Improved Snowball Trick is what we call our method for making the Snowball block featured in the quilt. It can only be done with the special engineered corners on our templates. Cut the 3 1/2" strips of red, green, yellow and blue, but cut 2 instead of 3. Instead of squares:

| Put the strip on a little mat to make it easy to rotate and nip off the corners. | ![]() |
Everything else is the same. When you get to cutting the 7" wide borders, don't forget our mitering ruler is 8" x 24". As many people buy it for the extra width as for the mitering corner. Use the Improved Snowball Trick to add the triangles to the square.
