Antique Baby Blocks Quilt

Antique Baby Block

Marti says, "First I saw the Baby Blocks ("I need that for my hexagon class and book!"), and then I found out there is a wonderful Broken Dishes variation on the back! Since it is tied, the dealer asked right away, 'Are you going to take it apart?' I didn't know then, and I still don't!"

This is a fine collection of fabrics from the late 1800s, almost a charm quilt. The interior hexagons are 3 inches across at their widest, 1 1/2 inches on each side. You can make a hexagon quilt easily and accurately with our Template Sets G and H.

Marti's got some great tips for sewing hexagons in Volume 6.
