You may have seen two-piece corner trimmer sets with instructions to cut some corners one way and some another. We say, “Why would you cut off some of the excess fabric when you could so easily get rid of more?” We let one piece do it all—and so much more!
The From Marti Michell Corner Trimmer template can be used to trim the corners of any right angle triangle piece regardless of the size of the triangle. Trimmed corners promote accurate piecing, eliminate “dog ears” before sewing and reduce bulk at corners for easier quilting by hand or machine! Engineered corners are just one of the quality trademarks you will find on From Marti Michell products. Includes 8-page tips booklet with color cover.
The original binding tool comes with a booklet that includes instructions for mitering the ends of binding strips and joining them to make perfect continuous binding. Quilters tell us it's their favorite tool for that reason!

With the Deluxe Corner Trimmer, you can cut away the “dog ears” on four different acute angle corners and square corners, and you can confirm the size of all the angles, including the outside angle on 60° and 45° diamonds. Hand piecers and machine piecers alike use the Deluxe Corner Trimmer to mark the dot where adjacent seam lines meet at a corner.
Both the original Corner Trimmer and the Deluxe Corner Trimmer include the 45° and 90° corners. With the Deluxe Corner Trimmer, you can also trim the extra fabric on 60° corners and Peaky and Spike corners. No matter what size the piece is, the excess created on a corner when you add ¼″ seam allowance is the same, so when the edges of the tool on both sides of the corners are aligned with the fabric, that is the excess amount of fabric to cut off.
